Lyxter

Cookies and analytics

What this website stores on your device, what it measures, and how to change your mind. It covers lyxter.ai only; the Lyxter app has its own privacy policy.

What is always stored

Two small entries that only make the site work the way you set it. Neither identifies you, and neither is sent to anyone.

  • lx-consentlocalStorage · 12 months, then we ask again

Remembers your cookie choice and the date you made it, so we do not ask on every page.

  • lx-currencylocalStorage · Until you clear it

Remembers whether you chose prices in euro or Danish kroner.

If you accept

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used, so we can make it clearer for mechanics and workshops. With your consent it records which pages you view, where you came from (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link), the buttons and links you click, how far down a page you scroll, where on a page you click, how quickly pages load, your browser, device type and approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address).

It also records your visit as a session replay: how the pages moved, scrolled and responded to you. Everything you type into a form is hidden in the recording.

We use PostHog only with your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). PostHog keeps these events for 12 months and session replays for 30 days, then deletes them.

To do this PostHog stores the following on your device:

  • ph_<project>_posthogCookie and localStorage · Up to 12 months

A random id that lets PostHog tell one visitor's pages and visits apart from another's.

  • ph_* (session)sessionStorage · Until you close the tab

Keeps track of the current visit and browser tab.

If you decline

PostHog is not loaded and nothing about your visit is sent to it. The only thing stored is your choice (lx-consent, above).

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends either signal, we treat it as a no, the same as declining: nothing is loaded and no banner is shown. You can still choose otherwise in Cookie settings.

Error monitoring

When something on a page breaks, a report goes to Sentry so we can fix it: the error, the place in our code, the page address without anything after a "?", and your browser and operating system versions. It stores nothing on your device, records nothing you do, and does not keep your IP address. Errors on our servers are always reported, because keeping the site working is a legitimate interest (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). Errors in your browser are reported only if you accept. Sentry keeps error reports for 90 days.

Who handles the data

Lyxter ApS is the data controller. PostHog (in its EU cloud, Frankfurt, Germany) and Sentry (in its EU region, Frankfurt, Germany) process it on our behalf under data processing agreements, and store it there. PostHog Inc. and Functional Software Inc. (Sentry) are US companies, so their staff may access the data from outside the EU, for example for support. That transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the company is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Changing your mind and your rights

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, here or at the foot of every page. Declining later stops PostHog straight away and deletes its cookie and storage from this browser. It also stops error reports from your browser.
